[Tony had been feeling draggy the last few days after being drained of his blood, but also, lacking an inmate, rather bored. An offer of Cheez-its, one of his favorite snacks, combined with company, was too good to refuse. Hearing the knocking on the door, Tony answered it.]
'lo. [Spike answered, peering inside and belatedly, shaking the half-eaten box] Come bearing snacks, as promised. [something was off about Tony's scent.. though he wasn't sure just what, yet :|]
"Thanks," Tony said, taking the box. Reaching in, he took a handful of cheez-its and shoved them into his mouth. "I'm guessing you were just sitting around bored, too. I'd ask if you wanted to watch a movie, but my TV's shot."
Tony glanced at it, shoved in the corner. Apparently, telekinetically tossing electronics across the room wasn't good for them.
"Oh, right! Come in. I forgot. Vampires in my world don't need that."
He'd seen Buffy. He should have known, even if for Spike's sake he didn't plan on mentioning that he was from a TV show. Well, for his sake, and for the simple fact that he'd grown so used to talking to people from TV shows he didn't even think anything of it any more.
[He stepped in, taking in the boy's.. odd accommodations. He was registering part of that weird smell to be magic.. and the other, cough syrup? Alright, then.]
I'm noticing.. how different the vamps are from each other, here. Are those runes?
Tony looked as Spike looked around his cheap, slightly trashy apartment before focusing in on the runes.
"Yeah. I found cherry works best. Especially this one brand." Back home he kept buying out the stores supply of it. The brand apparently wasn't popular, and sometimes he wondered if he was single handedly keeping the company that produced it in business.
"Paint doesn't work. This is more organic." It had herbs and stuff in it. It said so on the bottle. Sure it was made in a factory and also contained a lot of chemicals, but what didn't in the modern world?
Why make that exception, mate? [he was in a curious mood, apparently. there was still something about Tony rubbing him the wrong way- did he smell like, someone else he had met recently? ..Bollocks]
Tony shrugged. "Well, I was dating a vampire when I first made the spell. Besides, if I block out vampires I might as well block everyone out. Some of the humans in this place scare me more than a vampire any day."
Well, in that case, why block anyone out? Some demons aren't so bad. ..And if you're dating Armand, I-- [What? It wasn't like he had a say either way. He let his mouth snap closed, uselessly, giving the boy an odd look]
"I'm not dating Armand, I said ex. I used to date a vampire named Henry. He's not even on the Barge." Wait a minute...how did Arm--oh. Scent. Well, Tony wasn't going to bring up that he'd let Armand bite him if Spike wasn't going to say anything. "It also blocks black magic." And while you could argue some demons weren't bad, black magic directed at his room was a pretty unanimous bad thing.
[Tony didn't even know the answer to that. The only solution, then, was to be a smartass.] "I thought you were supposed to offer food and drink to your guests."
"Beer." Tony got up, going over to the fridge and getting one out and tossing it over to the vampire before sitting back down. Offering his beer, offering his blood...same difference.
[Tony continued eating the cheez-its for a moment more, before realizing he could do with a beer as well. Looking over, he also realized he didn't feel like getting back up. Reaching out a hand, the door of the fridge flew open, and a beer flew into his hand. Popping the top, he took a drink and continued eating.]
