"Mm. Nothing so drastic. My eldest sister and dearest friend were both wed or engaged to be married. My mother insisted I should be next, but I insisted on finding someone with whom I could actually enjoy my life. I demanded love. The one man I thought I might have-- well, it was not to be. I was merely looking for a respite to regain my sensibilities and could not afford a trip to a place such as Bath."

[She feels kind of dumb and embarrassed comparing her running away from a boy with his being turned into a vampire, even if it was obviously something else that brought him here.] "After failing Castiel, I considered returning. But I feel as though I am doing good for some and I hope to continue to help people. It is a fulfilling occupation and I have made such acquaintance as I would never have had opportunity if I were in Longbourne. Though it is not proper, I question if it would be a more prosperous existence to remain here than to return only to be married."

"But it remains improper. And I do desire to be married in future." [She seems to be debating with herself more than informing him. Elizabeth doesn't notice his flush, still not willing to meet his gaze.]

"Thank you for your words, even if they are uninformed." [She's slowly moving closer to him, not romantically but just more comfortable again.]

[She seems more casual now by looking at him occasionally, though as they walk she still seems more fixed on the sights to see, as few as they are.] "I do believe that every man should posses some measure of hope.
