How much do you take into consideration how much your inmate likes you (or dislikes you, I guess) ?

Nah. First time I came here I didn't have a choice. Second time, I asked to come back and all, but on my terms. The admiral doesn't owe me anything but I come and go as I please.

That's kind of like what I asked for.

Yes. Like I told another warden, I just asked that I be allowed to go back to see my parents when I wasn't needed here and also travel around more. Of course I could have done those things if I'd just stayed away so it's not like the deals apparently some others have made.

I may live on this boat and play by his rules, but I don't like our dear Admiral and I sure as Hell don't trust him. He's not giving me any picket fences whether I ask for 'em or not. So why ask?

Not according to some of the other wardens. I spoke to some that just want to get out of here as soon as they graduate their inmate because then they get their deal.

Well they won't be graduating anyone if that's the truth.

You don't think that would give them the incentive to try harder?

Maybe. But if you're not going in with the right intentions, I doubt it's gonna turn out happy as houses in the end.

I came back because I wanted to help other inmates to graduate, since I did. It's a good feeling and I know it can happen, so I'm hoping I can give some hope that they also can.

I didn't mean you. Meant all of them trying to use the system. Won't work out for them, in the end.

I know. I'm just explaining why I came back.
