[Filtered to Vamps, Hix, Wardens of Vamps, Victims of Vamps and.. friends of Vamps? Including Spike's. Basically if this concerns you or you want it to, sure. Also Brian and Dexter, not that they'd give a shit.]

How much do the vamps here need to eat? I got about 12 pints here, bagged and ready for anyone who needs 'em. Yes, they're animal, and no, I don't give a lick if you think that's nasty. Rot for all I care. I'm doing something bloody nice, so don't throw it back in my face.

He was at the door before she was, his duster and boots missing from his regalia.] How was dinner, luv? [he asked, leaning against the door]

She started at Spike being a speedy ninja. ] Right, wow, hi, Spike. Dinner was satisfying and satisfyingly uneventful. No dead bodies this time. Yay.

Did you eat yet?

Nah, didn't feel much like walking down there today. I've got blood here anyway. [he stepped aside to let her in]

Oh. [ She would not suggest herself, she would not suggest herself.

Claire slipped past him and bounced on the balls of her feet, repeating her mantra mentally and trying to ignore her altruistic inclinations. ]

What kind?

[ She asked just to have something else to think about. ]

Er. [he noticed she was acting strange but scratched the back of his neck and tried to ignore her strange smell] It's grizzly. Ruby and I killed it for all the vamps. [he motioned her over to the fridge, opening the door to reveal its fully stocked state. there was also a chest freezer in his closet]

[ She wrinkled her nose at the sight of it all and nodded, stepping back after the quickest glance possible at the fridge. ]

I like Ruby. Are you two friends? She certainly could use more.

[he smiled, mission accomplished, and closed the fridge, pushing her over to the couch]

Yeah, sure. We're friends.

[ She allowed said pushing and flopped down, expecting Spike to follow suit. ]

She really helped me out with Serena before she disappeared. So, I guess we bonded over that. What about you two?

[does so, with a matching flop]

Hm.. just the demon thing, mostly. Had a lot of demon pals back in Sunnydale. And in LA, too.

[ She perked a brow, but nodded. ]

I see.

So, it's check up time: made any other friends lately?

I'm trying to play nice with the other vamps now. [shruugs] And I taught Hix poker.

Awww, Spike, I'm so proud of you. [ knee pat. ]

Course, not everyone is sympathetic toward you guys and your predicament, and if anything, I think this has increased and gained more distrust, soo it's nice if you stick together, I guess. Least you have someone.

[ Claire scoffed, not even sure of what she meant by that. ]

Dr. Hix offered to teach me about Post-Mortem Communications. Can I trust him?

Hix? Oh, hell yeah. He's probably my best mate on this damn ship. Knows a lot about dead things, too. [Spike grinned, trying not to think too hard about what she meant by that either, but he wrinkled his nose, adding in,] Everyone's a right mess over the whole thing. But now there's plenty of blood so no one can't ever say I didn't do somethin' for 'em.

[ insert pouty, pouty lips and blinking sad eyes and a high, surprised voice. ] You mean, I'm not your best mate?

[ Cliare's half kidding. She hasn't really had a best friend since Zach back in high school, but she has people here she considers to be the closest thing, or at least that are headed in that direction. ]

You're family, pet. [he says without hesitation, realizing belatedly she's sort of like his new Dawnie]

[ Claire blinks and straightens up, taken aback. ] Seriously?

I'm a serious bloke, I am.

[ She's blushing and smiling ear to ear. ]

Thanks, Spike, [ she says in a small, humbled voice. ] I really appreciate that.

It's just a shame I didn't have you back home. Could've used an indestructible girl.

[ Blushes. ]

Well, you have me now. But I appreciate the want, heh heh. I just hope this ends soon.
